How sensational would you think rumors of Arsenal signing the Uruguayan amazing striker be? Well, pretty much.
The Gunners’ have been thinking to a certain extent that the transfer is just subject to an official announcement
since the morning as Caught Offside reported Arsenal’s deal with Suarez is completed for a fee of £47.5m.
Last month Arsenal tabled a cheeky bid for the Uruguayan of 40m and 1 pound which allowed Arsenal to enter into the negotiation with Luis Suarez but according to Luis Suarez the transfer would have been official by now had Liverpool not snubbed their promise of allowing him to leave if in any case they don’t qualify for the Champions League.
Luis Suarez clearly is forcing his move out of Liverpool for Arsenal.
Caught offside claims that Suarez’s agent, Pere Guardiola, brother of Bayern Munich manager Pep, has already met Arsenal representatives in London for “face-to-face talks” to agree Suarez’s personal terms. That has now been done and Suarez is set to sign a five-year deal earning £150,000-a-week, £30k more than he currently takes home on Merseyside.
According to The Times this has left Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers fuming and has blamed Luis Suarez of being totally disrespectful towards the club. Even more bizarrely, the Uruguayan has taken it upon himself to reinstate his desire to leave Anfield, with the Daily Mail reporting that he is hoping for an “amicable agreement” with the Reds which allows him to leave to The Gunners and justifies Liverpool’s promise of letting him leave for their inability to qualify for the Champions League.
So the odds are pretty much in Arsenal’s favor and if we consider Caught Offside’s report to be true, we can easily say that Suarez to Arsenal is just subject to the official announcement on the club’s official website.
