Juan Mata To Hand In A Transfer Request To Force Arsenal Move

Juan+Mata

Arsenal are keen on signing Chelsea’s Spanish international midfielder and former Arsenal target Juan Mata but the player must demand a transfer away from Chelsea in other to seal the move reports David Kid of Sunday People.

News broke of Arsenal’s interest last week and the interest was confirmed by Wenger last Tuesday but the player now faces a tough decision as he is no longer a regular at Chelsea
with Jose Mourinho now in charge and if he must move away, he will have to make an official transfer request. Mata is Chelsea fans’ favorite but the manager on his return to Chelsea has made it clear to him that his preference is Brazil’s Oscar and Beligum’s Eden Hazard.

Mata was on the bench in the UEFA super cup match against Bayern Munich on Friday and with Mourinho signing Willian for 30 million, Mata’s first team chances are further eradicating as it is unthinkable for Mourinho to buy a player for 30 million and then put said player on the bench. Mata was also left out of Spain’s squad this week which will further make the player desperate for first team football as he will want to be on the plane to Brazil next summer.

Arsenal have made their interest clear to the player and are willing to spend as much as 30 million to acquire the player but the player must himself force through the move. Sunday people are claiming Mourinho knows selling Mata to a rival club will be unpopular among Chelsea fans but Mourinho is under massive pressure to reduce Chelsea’s bloated Wage bill.

The club has tried to offload Fernando Torres and failed but Mata is another player they will like to off load with Arsenal the only interested club.
