22-year-old female student of the University of Lagos, Tolulope Titiloye, who was kidnapped and raped by three friends, who later posted her nude photos on the social media, is now in court to get justice.

Three friends – Bashorun Babajide, Aje Olumayowa, and Babajide Ajayi – had molested her, took photos of her without clothes and threatened to share the photos if she exposed them. Tolulope had kept quiet about the sad incident but trouble started when her family members saw her nude photos on the internet.
Within few days of the upload, the nude photographs went viral on social media, exposing Tolulope to ridicule and shame.

 Nigeria’s representatives in the just concluded Big Brother Africa reality TV show, Beverly Osu and Melvin Oduah were presented to the media at the Protea Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos last Thursday after their triumphant return to the country. 

The two ex-housemates recounted their personal experiences in the Big Brother House.

Beverly was the first to put the record straight , as she denied having sex in the House with her South African counterpart, Angelo. She however, confirmed that her relationship with Angelo was real.

Taraba Speaker Directs Dep. Governor To Continue As Acting Governor

Hon Haruna Tsokwa, the Speaker of Taraba State House of
Assembly has announced that the lawmakers have requested that the deputy Governor of the state should continue to act as the acting governor, as they think that Governor Danbaba Suntai has not fully recovered. He went further to say that the governor is not fit to govern.


Hon Tsokwa, who was shocked last night when he and his colleague noticed that Governor Suntai can recognise people and can talk properly said that the recovering State Chief executive should go back to USA and come back when he fully recovered.

PDP Suspends Andy, Chris Uba, Others

NATIONAL Working Committee, NWC of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP yesterday slammed its hedge hammer on the Chairman, Senate Committee Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Senator Andy Uba and suspended him from the party as a member of the PDP.

Also suspended along side Senator Uba, is his junior borther, Chief Chris Uba, the factional chairman of the party in the state, Chief Ejike Oguebego, Benjamin Udeozor; and Mrs Anthonia Nwankwu who were accused of conducting a parallel state congress for the nomination of governorship candidate in Anambra state last Saturday.

However, Chief Chris Uba, yesterday said that news of his suspension from the party by the National Working Committee, NWC took him as a surprise.

The suspension of the Ubas as gathered is preceding planned expulsion from the party by the leadership of the PDP.

9-month-old Baby Burnt To Death In Sapele

A nine-month-old baby locked up in a house by her parents has been reportedly burnt to death.
According to Vanguard's report, the girl’s mother had gone to Sapele yam garage market to earn a living by plaiting peoples’ hairs while the father was also at work.. 

The incident occurred at about 7.00pm, Wednesday.
The whole building was brought to ruins as neighbours could not put out the fire while men of Sapele Fire Fighting Service arrived late.

It was reported that the grand-father of the infant who was alerted of the incident was later involved in salvaging other parts of the building without knowing that his grand child had been consumed by the fire.

When Vanguard visited the scene, neighbours and sympathizers were seen wailing over the loss of the baby just as household items littered the place.
At press time, the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, but source at the Sapele Fire Fighting department, who preferred  anonymity confirmed that it was due to electrical spark from power fluctuation.

KILLED! Popular Cult leader Known as Black Jesus has been Killed

An infamous cult leader known as “Black Jesus”, who was suspected of cannibalism, has been chopped to death in a remote Papua New Guinea village, reports said Friday.

According to AFP, Steven Tari, a convicted rapist, had been on the run since escaping from a prison in Madang in the Pacific nation’s east during a mass break-out with 48 others in March.

Madang police chief Sylvester Kalaut said that Tari and one of his followers were killed at a village about 20 kilometres (12 miles) outside Madang on Thursday as they were attacking a young woman.

“He is now dead and this could be the fate of the others who are also on the run from authorities and I am warning and strongly urging those escapees to surrender themselves to authorities,” Kalaut told the PNG Post-Courier.

Tari, a failed Lutheran pastor who was widely known as Black Jesus, was found guilty in 2010 of raping girls who belonged to his Christian-based sect and sentenced to up to 10 years.

At the time, he had thousands of village followers, including a core of armed warriors to protect him, in what is commonly referred to in PNG as a “cargo cult”.

A banker with EcoBank, Abakaliki branch, Mr. Boniface Ndukaku, was found dead in a hotel after having sex with his 21-year-old girlfriend.
According to Telegraphng, Ebonyi State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Sylvester Igbo, confirmed that the deceased was in the hotel for an extra-marital affair, and that his 21-year-old escort was now in police custody helping them in the investigation of the matter.

Mr. Ndukaku (45), a family man, was a resident of the Army Cantonment in Abakaliki and had taken a 21-year old lady from Mgbowo in Agwu Local government area of Enugu State to a hotel.
The young lady was identified as a 200 level student of Microbiology at the Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu.

I have promised myself that I will no longer talk about the movie. It’s really funny that Nigeria is a country where people attribute an actor’s role to his real life character. 
If I’m given a role to play and I played it excellently, does that make me that character in reality? Yet, it is the same Nigerians who will be first to point fingers at those actors that do not act their movie roles well. 
It’s quite funny that because I played a gay role then I’m automatically gay. So if I played the role of a police officer, does that makes me one? I just have to thank my fans who repose so much confidence in me, that’s all.

Taraba assembly to Suntai: Go back to US hospital

Barely 24 hours after Governor Danbaba Suntai, addresed the people of Taraba State through a recorded video,  the state House of Assembly on Thursday  advised him to return to the hospital  in the United States where he was on admission for further treatment.

The assembly, in a statement by its Speaker, Haruna  Tsokwa, and 15 other  members, also reaffirmed Alhaji Garba Umar as the acting governor of the state.

The lawmakers   claimed  that  before Wednesday, all their  efforts  to meet with the recuperating governor, who arrived in Jalingo on Sunday from the  US,  were rebuffed by people close to him.

They  pointed out  that from the manner the governor spoke when they finally  met with him on Wednesday,  they  doubted  that he  authored the letter in which he informed them of his return and desire to resume work.

According to the lawmakers,  their advice to the governor  and the position on who was in charge of  governance in the state,  were  in the interest of the  people.

Border War! Custom officer killed along with a Civilian during Gun Battle in Seme Badagry

There was mayhem at the Seme border area of Lagos State on Thursday after a 35-year-old man, Saturday Joel, was shot by officials of the Nigerian Customs Service.

Eyewitnesses said Joel was hit by a stray bullet while some customs officers were trying to apprehend a motorist who was smuggling a red Volkswagen bus from Benin Republic into Nigeria.

It was learnt that after the shooting, some residents took to the streets in protest. The residents were said to have alleged that customs officials had killed at least three motorists this month under the pretext that they were smugglers.

It was learnt that in the ensuing pandemonium, the customs officials stationed in the area fled. However, a Superintendent of Customs, identified as J. I Motojelu, was said to have been driving by at the time.

The sizzling Nollywood actress debuted a new ombre short hairstyle. She also rocked a chic ensemble: her sleeveless pink blouse and yellow pants, was styled with a pair of ankle strap grey heels, silver stud earrings, a statement necklace and a silver wrist watch.
