DMX Charged With Drink-Driving Offence In America

Rapper DMX(real name:Earl Simmons)  has been arrested in the American state of South Carolina and charged with driving under the influence.

Jail officials in Greenville County say the 42-year-old, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested early on Friday morning.

He was also charged with not having a driving licence.

Simmons was arrested last year in nearby Spartanburg County on suspicion of driving without a licence.

In that case, he was released after paying a fine.

Records show the rapper has since been released from jail.

Simmons was arrested in a Phoenix suburb in 2011 after police clocked him driving at 102mph (164km/h).

He had recently finished a stint in prison after his probation was revoked for failing to submit to drug testing and driving without a licence.

DMX released his seventh studio album, Undisputed, last year.
