Dana Air back in the sky after deadly crash

Nigerian commercial airline Dana Air said on Monday it had resumed normal flights, some 18 months after a crash outside Lagos that claimed 159 lives.

“The airline is back in the sky. We are back in business. We have two flights today. The first has just left Lagos for Abuja,” company spokesman Sam Ogbogoro told AFP.

Dana’s operation was grounded after the crash on June 3, 2012. The airline was briefly cleared to fly

El-Rufai in Lagos for APC meeting

Deputy National Secretary of All Progressives Congress APC  Mallam Nasir El-Rufai who was detained by the Department of State Security DSS last Monday  was released Tuesday morning.

This was disclosed by Mr Muyiwa Adekeye, the Media Assistant to El-Rufai  while speaking to Vanguard in a telephone interview.

A 25-year-old school teacher,  Nana Yaw Addo Larbi has been arrested by the police in Ghana for allegedly defiling a 5-year-old girl.
