The Governor of Imo State, Nigeria, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, must have a thing for actresses as he has appointed another Nollywood actress, Shirley Igwe his Principal Protocol
Officer, few months after sacking his Special Assistant on Entertainment, Nkiru Sylvanus. The former Delta Soapmodel, who is making waves in the Nigerian movie industry, is to coordinate Gov. Okorocha’s daily itinerary, ensure his comfort and that of his guests, attend to his personal needs as well as make sure things run in the governor’s schedules as at when due, meaning that she will be with the governor practically everyday. Though tongues have been wagging over the appointment as Shirley is said not to possess any form of political inclination, she is basking in her new portfolio and has since resumed work.
