Fans have been reacting happily since the release of KCee’s new album, “Take Over” on Friday, November 1st, 2013. The album contains KCee’s hit songs including “Limpopo”, “Pull Over” and“Okoso”.
“ KCee! I like that guy. That his ‘Limpopo’ song was amazing, and I still have not recovered from it.” Ayo, a student from University of Lagos revealed.
For Alaba Market promoter, Austino, all he could see was the financial angle, revealing how
much he expected his coffers to be swollen with money from the album.
“That album will make us all chop. I don’t see any reason why I won’t make money from promoting the album in this market (Alaba International Market). KCee has done well. We are very, very happy”
For Mama Abiodun, a fish seller, and mother of five. She was distraught at the release of the album. Why? Because her kids will never allow her stereo take a break from blaring music.
“Peace no go dey my house again. Na so so “Limpopo and that song, ‘Pull Over’ wey them go dey play everytime. I no go fit sleep or get rest without my children disturbing with Limpopo”
And so they continued. Everyone had a positive story to tell. Obviously, KCee has become a fan favorite. The streets love him and his amazing music, which drifts between the genres of Highlife, Afrobeat, and Afro-Pop.
