Amazing : X Factor electrifies audience with massive X stage

The grand stage and set of the world’s biggest singing reality TV show, X Factor, has been the object of admiration and discussion amongst live audiences of the show since the unveiling of the top nine contestants last week in Lagos.
The show is brought to Africa for the first time by telecoms giant, Globacom, and contestants have performed on the masterpiece X Factor stage, following months of auditions in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja in Nigeria and Kumasi and Accra in Ghana.

The stage is massive and built to international standards.
The stage is built around an impressive “X” that is creatively lit internally with LED lights, which also frames one of the largest LED screens in West African productions.
The lighting rig is impressively on a scale seldom seen in West African productions and includes some of the latest technology used in international productions. Of notable interest is the use of 12 Sharpies to create a dynamic sweep of light across the stage and audience.
Fanning out on either side of the “X” is a strip of LED screens that pulsate with bright colours and graphics throughout the show. The set has a large thrust that picks up on the angles of the “X” and projects the artists out into the audience and onto the judges who are sitting at their signature X Factor desk.
According to some members of the audience, the stage is indescribable and beyond anything they had seen in this part of the world.
Despite the magnificence of the stage, more glamour was added when it was opened for the second gala show with large chandeliers hanging above massive, glace floor.
